DEBURRING PROCESSES WITH GEOMETRICALLY DEFINED CUTTING EDGE
Burr processing by means of percussive or cutting tool action – advantages: high tool life quantities and low tool costs
Brush deburring tools with metal filaments
Tool types: roller brushes, cup brushes, disc brushes, pencil brushes, circular brushes, cylindrical brushes
Abrasives: steel wire
Use: removal of loose burrs and edge rounding
Milling cutter deburring tools
Tool types: cylindrical cutter, bevel cutter, spherical cutter
Abrasives: milling cutters with positive or negative rake angle
Use: removal of strong burrs and undefined or defined chamfering
Backwards deburrers
Tool types: sprung deburrers in spherical, trapezoidal or pyramidal shape
